There is now a collection basket in Whitby Library for donations of food and toiletries for Whitby Foodbank. Thank you the staff and volunteers who keep our wonderful library service running.

WFA celebration
We had a great day on Wednesday 21 July celebrating a year of Whitby Food Alliance. Organisations involved in providing food and support in Whitby and the Esk Valley gathered in Flowergate Hall, to share what we do in the community. We enjoyed meeting each other and the yummy cakes…
May Holidays
Whitby Foodbank will be closed on both holiday Mondays in May -Monday 3rd May and Monday 31 May. Otherwise, we’re here to help every Monday and Friday afternoon from 2.00 to 4.00.
Easter opening 2021
The Foodbank will be open on Good Friday, 2nd April, from 2-4 pm as usual, but we will be closed on Easter Monday, 5th April. If you are in urgent need of a food parcel contact Chris 07789 765696 or Barry 07810 205014. Remember – we are here to help…
Fire Station and Poundland collection points
Whitby Fire Station is now a donation point for Whitby Food Bank. The station will be available for donations 8am till 6pm everyday or please call 01947 824080. Poundland have extended their collection point from Christmas time to all year round. There’s a basket near the check-out area for donations.

Christmas goodies
Whitby Lions and Whitby Rotary club have donated a wonderful stock of Christmas fare: stacks of biscuits, mince pies, Christmas puddings and chocolates. These will bring some much needed cheer to homes in the area. Thank you to all who made this happen.
Too many thank yous

Acts of kindness
School children have made some beautiful cards to add to our food parcels. These cards will be certain to bring a smile to those who receive them. Thank you for this act of kindness, cheering up those who are finding life tough at the moment.
